"Wild at Heart Foundation believe in dog. We believe that a dog can lift our mood, change our day, keep us active and transform a house into a home. They are our fierce protectors, guard us and perform heroic feats. They offer freely what humans can spend a lifetime learning, which is to love unconditionally. They save our lives in many ways.”

  • Their Vision:

Wild at Heart Foundation want to end the suffering of stray dogs all over the world. They believe that each and every rescue dog deserves the chance to live a healthy, happy life, free from the threat of pain, suffering, cruelty or neglect.

  • Their Mission:

They're working to compassionately reduce the world’s 600 million stray dog population through rescue, adoption & sterilisation projects, and awareness and education campaigns. They fund and support projects all over the world, focusing on areas where the need is particularly great.

  • Their Ethos:

WAHF believe that every single dog – no matter where in the world it is born, no matter its size, breed, age or circumstance – deserves to live a healthy, happy life. They champion compassion and collaboration; believing that there is power in kindness and community, and that by working together towards a common goal, we can help make the world a better, kinder place.

Our Official Charity Partner

We couldn’t be more passionate about the incredible initiatives Wild At Heart Foundation carries out across the world. Showing continued commitment to their mission has always been a key focus for us, and over the years we have tried to provide support in any way we can.

Since becoming an official charity partner in November 2020, we have donated £1 from every sale to Wild At Heart Foundation.

In addition, in January 2021 we launched our Barc x WAHF collection, with 60% of all profits from this range being donated to their cause.

This collaboration forms part of a broader partnership between Barc London and Wild At Heart Foundation, as we remain more dedicated than ever to raising awareness of their vital work.

Wild At Heart Foundation's Global Projects

Working all over the world, Wild At Heart Foundation collaborates with small organisations to provide financial, operational and promotional support to local stray dog initiatives.

These initiatives focus on rehoming, sterilisation, education and awareness.

UK's Believe In Dog Project

In the UK, Wild At Heart Foundation's 'Believe In Dog' initiative helps to nurture stray dogs in their transition to new homes, providing support to independent dog shelters, and regular touchpoints for donors, fosterers and adopters.

"While any dogs are in the UK before finding their forever homes, we look after all their costs. From medical bills to occasional kennels and everything that can come up in between, Wild At Heart Foundation can have a pretty hefty bill for our UK dogs. By donating to support activity in the UK, you can help fund supporting these dogs that are often in the middle of their journey."

  • Rehoming

Having successfully placed just under 2,000 dogs in new UK homes, Wild At Heart Foundation's adoption team works hard to find suitable owners for each rescue dog's individual needs. Once homed, adopters are guided in the ways they can provide benefits to their dogs.

  • Foster Network

The adoption process is adapted for each dog on a case by case basis. Many rescue dogs are placed into foster care before being rehomed, which requires Wild At Heart Foundation to work closely with fosterers to ensure a smooth transition while covering all of the costs involved.

  • Aftercare

Understanding the complexities that come with taking on a rescue dog, all UK adopters are provided with an aftercare programme completely free of charge. Wild At Heart Foundation helps to ensure continued learning is easily accessible. Their support includes webinars, one-to-one sessions and complete guides.

  • Education

In 2021, the 'Be Kind Programme' was launched, with 164 schools signing up in the first year. Linked to the UK's National Curriculum, the programme is targeted at KS2 children. It focuses on promoting values of compassion, kindness and empathy, with links to the positive impacts dogs can have on wellbeing.
